Cafe Extrablatt in Darmstadt

Very good, very central and extensive menu! Friendly service!

Nice but unfortunately the distance rules to tables are completely ignored. Full utilization comes before security. Even if you can have a good breakfast there, we will probably not go there as long as corona is an issue.

You sit comfortably, friendly service, but terribly loud. You can't have a good chat. Pity! UNFORTUNATELY!

Today I sat on the terrace of the Extrablatt in the early afternoon. No service staff came for 15 minutes! After I had drawn attention to myself, a waiter came who I would rather describe as unfriendly. In addition, "please" and "thank you" were not part of his vocabulary. Not a figurehead for the special edition Darmstadt.

It was very nice there. I liked the ambience very much. Unfortunately, there is only a small selection of non-alcoholic cocktails. It is very full during Corona, but I find that the distance is kept very well there. Gladly again.

Top. With the additional citizen card, I also found something for dinner. The food was really good, the waiter was super nice and the atmosphere was also very cozy. Gladly again :)

Breakfast is outrage for the price. € 9.95 during the week, food is not refilled promptly, although it was only 10 a.m. and breakfast went on for a few hours. Furthermore, there is only one drink in the form of O juice or multivitamin in a mini size.

The chili burger was delicious, the location right on the market square is great. The waiting times until you get food or drinks are less nice.

The food was very tasty. The conditions were very busy, so you sometimes had to wait a bit. I found the prices for the non-alcoholic cocktails a bit too high. But I would come again.

Nice restaurant and really very friendly staff. The menu is extensive for a café. I like to go to Cafe Extrablatt. It's cozy and good for meeting friends. There is something for everybody.

Bad service. Dirty toilets. We came for brunch. No birit, no buns and so on, everything was empty. Were 5 minutes until someone came and accompanied us to the table. Condition to order drinks and clear the table was bad. We don't go there anymore.

I had breakfast today in the special edition. I will definitely not go there again, although I always enjoyed breakfast there. There is very little choice. The food was unfortunately not fresh and there used to be orange juice for free, now there is only one glass you have to pay for the second. It's a shame you lose customers that way 😌

A beautiful restaurant, great ambience. The service is very friendly and courteous. We were there for breakfast and the buffet is great. A sufficient range and very tasty. The price performance ratio is very good. And last but not least, all hygiene measures are implemented 1: 1. A visit there is always worthwhile.

My son would have to wait 30 minutes for fries. In my opinion this is way too long. Our table had obviously been neglected compared to other tables outside. Otherwise I like to come here. But today it was very uncomfortable.

Has a good buffet. The new, more hygienic buffet system should persist even after corona.

Nice and tasty place. The burgers are juicy and tasty, but the side dishes could be a little bigger at the price. The drink prices are okay, but the price / performance ratio for the cocktails is not given, you can go for a drink in any bar for half the price. The waitress was nice.

Large premises, inside and outside. It is a chain, the map seems to me largely uniform at all locations. The concept envisages gastronomy in all situations, breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails, coffee and cake. The audience is rather younger. The noise level, not least due to loud music, is remarkable. The menu offers schnitzel, pizza and snacks. The service was pretty quick.

Nothing going on but service deals with itself. With a little more attention, more sales would be possible. Then you would not have to make the coffee so expensive. But the good location and the concept keep it going.

A fantastic place for a spring or summer day.....great outdoor dinning space.....super spread of food and cocktails....the best staff...special shout out to Caro.......must visit if you are in Darmstadt!!

Fine Italian cuisine at fair prices. The pasta specialties are highly recommended. The ambience is also impressive. There are also very friendly employees.

Long waiting times, but nice service

Conditions were brisk, food was extremely quick and delicious. And you already pay attention to sustainability here, the straws are made of paper. These have not swelled or decayed over time. Definitely recommendable. At the weekend you should make a reservation, it was very well attended.

An ordinary eatery for lunch at the centre of the city We had our lunch at this cafe-restaurant while being on our business trip to Darmstadt. It was not overcrowded since it was a working day (however, at the weekend there were a lot of people when we passed by). The waiters served in a quick and reliable manner but the very kitchen was slow enough :(. The meals tried by us were of a good but not exceptional quality and did not provoke any problems with our digestion afterwards :). Thus, if you simply need to eat at reasonable prices being in the centre of Darmstadt you could visit this place.

One of my fav places to drink a good cold beer, have a delicious hamburger and for breakfast . The staff is really nice and quick.

Very good breakfast buffet, nice and friendly service. Avoid place in the heart of Darmstadt to spend some time and have a coffee...

Good sitting area inside or outdoor. The staff is very busy so sometimes they need longer to get your order token. Food average to me in comparison to other extrablatt restaurants in Germany.

They have blankets if you wanna stay late and it's getting cold after sunset

a little pricey and the food is not the best but it's a cool place

I have been to this restaurant many times and it has never let me down with service and food. I recommend check how busy the place is before making your way to the place as it is always busy, but the service if fast and great! The food has always remained super delicious. Recommended place for family or couples.

Very nice atmosphere and fairly large for a restaurant. Friendly staff. Great burgers, although pricey. Wide selection of foods and drinks. Nothing for birthdays, but which management can work on.

We like the place. Food is good, prices are ok. Usually a lot of people there, so can be a longish wait foe the food. Plus it is rather noisy. And I noticed that the portions are somewhat inconsitant.
